Federal, National, Provincial, Provincial Ecoreserve, Regional, Municipal, and Community Parks and Protected Areas in the Capital Regional District. The purpose of this dataset is to serve as the standard repository for all park and protected area boundaries in the CRD. Parks and protected areas are defined as: (a) A property explicitly zoned as such in information supplied by the municipality (b) In the case that explicit zoning does not exist, information as provided and/or verified by the municipality or other administrative body. Due to differences in park and protected area definitions between adminstrative areas, this layer is not guranteed to be fully comprehensive or consistant.
